DVDs are an amazing tool for evangelism and disciplship in Muslim Central Asia. In this part of the world, many people are only semi-literate and much prefer watching TV/ DVDs to reading books. OM is partnering with others to dub appropriate Christian digital resources into Central Asian languages. Long-term, we would love to see the production of original material too.

Both mission and local church leaders see the production and distribution of appropriate DVD materials in local languages as a high priority. But lack of manpower is slowing this process.

Our multimedia project offers a unique opportunity to partner with local believers to facilitate the selection, production and distribution of media throughout the country, greatly improving the access of Central Asia's Muslims to the gospel.

We’re looking for a self motivated, servant hearted person with an eye for detail to keep track of the finances for our field and its personnel. You’ll be working in a crucial support role, assisting with field and personal budgeting, managing cash flow and ensuring good stewardship of our finances. We’ll provide training, as well as opportunities to be involved in community development and/or church planting ministry in this remarkable region.

In Central Asia, entrepreneurs are brimming with ideas and enthusiasm but lack the "know how" to make small businesses work.

OM partners with both local and international NGOs in a variety of small business development programs. We hope to provide a viable alternative to the all-to-common labor migration, which drains skills, resources and creativity away from the local economy.

We urgently need experienced personnel from a business background who can be involved in training, resourcing and mentoring Central Asian entrepreneurs - men and women - through the process of establishing and expanding their own businesses.

Our Community Development Program in an ancient Central Asian city which used to be a center along the fabled Silk Road is in need of a PROJECT MANAGER. This work is focused on empowering poor women in and around this city. This person would be involved in managing existing programs and expanding/developing new ones. (M)

Working in a community based educational centre, you’ll be developing programs to train people from all walks of life in everything from introduction to Windows to Networking and Web design. Our NGO, located in a "roof of the world" capital city, is looking for a new COUNTRY DIRECTOR. This should be a person of vision and compassion, desiring to make a difference in a land weary of war. This would include leading the current work, overseeing personnel and finances, and expanding and initiating new projects as opportunities arise.  (M)

The director disability would oversee all the aspects of our projects that deal with people with disability.

In rural Central Asia, disabled people are marginalized by society, often unable to receive an education and find employment, and trapped in poverty as a result.

Our organization aims to break that cycle, through programs that support disabled children (and their families) to achieve their full physical, intellectual and social potential through integration into mainstream society.

We urgently need more qualified workers to strengthen existing programs and expand into new areas, so that the lives of the disabled and their families can be transformed, both physically and spiritually.

• Speech Therapists skilled and experienced in working with feeding problems and non-verbal communication strategies

Our NGO, working in the "roof of the world" capital Central Asian city, is in need of a DISASTER RESPONSE & PREPAREDNESS COORDINATOR. This person would develop a team for quick response to disasters and  training/teaching in disaster mitigation. (M)

This person stays in regular contact with project donors and endavors to find new donors to be able to expand projects. Working closely with project managers and the finance department.

Work in a local school setting with Russian or Kazakh speaking children, teaching English as a second language. Run English clubs for fun in the evenings. An enthusiastic self starter with an eye for detail is needed to oversee the finances for this key evangelistic ministry. As our Financial Administrator you’ll be working with project budgeting, managing cash flow, preparing financial reports, dabbling in international cash transfers and ensuring good stewardship of our finances.

Use your teaching diploma to support church planting in an unreached area. You’ll be working with a  team of German speaking families, overseeing the education of their primary-aged children. In your free time you’ll have the opportunity to learn a new language, make friends with locals and see the birth of the church in this remote region.

Use your IT Skills to directly impact the growth of the kingdom in one of the most unreached countries in the Muslim world. As our IT coordinator you’ll be responsible for managing and developing our website, developing and maintaining our online bookstore, and  managing the email network as well as general computer support duties. Here’s an IT and Security challenge – provide network maintenance and support to a multinational, multi-lingual team working with various operating systems and a multitude of applications. Also stay of top of  security, informing the team to be aware of any issues. You’ll provide critical front line support to our teams working in community development projects around the country, and build relationships with your national co-workers as you train them in networking and software. Bring your resourcefulness, flexibility and IT know-how, and experience a rich and totally unique culture as you share life and faith with the community.

HIV/ AIDS is increasing in Central Asia. We need men to get the word out before it is too late.

Poverty in rural Central Asia drives many men to seek work in Russia for months or years at a time. Although labor migration ensures economic survival of many rural families year-to-year, its long-term consequences are horrific – the current increases in family breakdown and substance abuse and especially the rising rate of HIV infection can all be directly linked to labor migration.

Our development organization’s projects take a holistic approach to health education, addressing the facts related to sexual health, HIV infection and other health issues within a moral framework where deeper issues are also addressed. In traditional Central Asian culture, such subjects are normally discussed in single sex groups. As a result, our development organization urgently needs men with a health background and training gifts who can lead community-based health education projects aimed at men.

We are looking for a tech-savvy person to help us tell stories from the frontier.

Rural Central Asia is one of the most under-developed and needy regions on earth, even more so than many African or S E Asian countries. Our organization focuses on this frontier - serving those unreached by either relief and development efforts or spiritual truth.

Our work is heavily dependent on the goodwill of the government and a steady stream of personnel and financial resources. Clear, effective and attractive communication is vital to both donor and government relations, as well as to attracting new personnel for our projects. We have wonderful stories to tell, but need someone with the passion and skills to help us get the attention of our audience so we can get our message across.

We are looking for someone to redesign our website for maximum impact and also help us develop useful media tools that will communicate effectively to raise awareness and mobilize workers and resources.

The production of educational media is growing fast in this Central Asian country and you can be at the heart of it.  Use your experience in Media Marketing to develop strategies and networks for advertising and distributing literature and DVDs throughout the country. You’ll be overseeing project budgeting, logistics and financial reporting, and working closely with our team of national workers to get the job done.

If you are a Primary School teacher with a sense of adventure we need you! Join the staff at an established school for missionary kids in grades K-6. Become an integral part of a tight knit community, with small class sizes and the chance to disciple and mentor your students. While English is the language of instruction, you’ll need sensitivity and patience as many of your students come from non- English speaking backgrounds.
